Span Packaging Services ~ News: Changes to Support Business Growth

GREENVILLE, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Span Packaging Services is pleased to announce several organizational changes as a result of continued growth and continued challenges in the marketplace. "We must position ourselves to support our business growth as we become a leader in the contract manufacturing industry", said Joe Ervin, VP of Span. As part of the announced changes, Juston Wimberly will take on the role of Operations Manager. "Juston has shown remarkable energy and drive in his first year at Span and we believe he will continue that same success as he leads our Operations team" said Ervin. Juston is a 2004 graduate of Clemson University with a BS degree in Packaging Science. He came to Span as Process Improvement Coordinator, the position he held prior to moving to Operations Manager.

Also announced is the promotion of Polly Thompson to VP of Quality for the combined Span business unit which includes Automated Packaging of Winder, GA and Multi-Pak of Milwaukee, WI. "Polly has been a huge asset to Span during the last 15 years and has a wealth of regulatory and systems knowledge. We are excited to have Polly heading our Quality groups for all the divisions" said Les Teague, Span President. Polly held a variety of positions with several other companies before joining Span in 1994. She is a graduate of Lander University in Greenwood, SC with a BS degree in Microbiology.

In addition, Dawn Kincaid has been promoted to Quality Manager of Span. Dawn has over 14 years of Quality experience, the last 5 of which have been at Span in varying positions including Document Control and Compliance. "We believe Dawn will continue to add value to the Quality Department in her new role" added Ervin.
